Summary

The ST121UTPMINI VGA over Cat 5 video extender provides a complete high resolution point-to-point digital signage solution, comprised of one local transmitter unit and one remote receiver. The extender allows the intended VGA video and audio signals to be extended for transmission distances of up to 90m (275ft) over standard 4-pair CAT 5e UTP cable. Simply connect the local (transmitter) unit to the VGA video and audio source, then connect the remote unit to a VGA display up to 90m (275ft) away. To start extending the VGA and audio signal, create a point-to-point connection by using CAT 5e UTP cable (terminated on each end with RJ45 connectors) between the two units.

The Cat 5 VGA extender provides a cost-effective way to situate your display as needed, eliminating standard distance limitations for a more effective digital signage configuration. The extender is compact enough to be tucked away behind the display, even in tight spaces and includes a small form factor dongle that ensures you’ll be able to connect the remote unit to the display, even when space is limited.
