Summary

The DCS-6111 Day & Night Fixed Dome Network Camera is a professional surveillance solution designed for ceiling or wall mounting in areas affected by a strong backlight. The camera employs a quality CMOS sensor with low lux sensitivity to deliver a truly superior image quality. A built-in Infrared Cut Removable (ICR) filter can be manually applied via the web GUI, or set to automatically adjust according to lighting conditions. This feature enables the camera to capture crisp colour images during the daytime, and grayscale images in low-light. The camera is also suitable for use in complete darkness, with Infra Red LEDs illumination. In addition, the camera includes Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology, which provides clear images with a good level of detail even when the camera is hit with strong backlight, a typical situation in shops or office buildings with large glass walls. The DCS-6111 uses its SoC (System-on-a-Chip) to provide high quality real-time video compression in MPEG-4 or Motion JPEG formats. Two video streams with different configurations can be activated simultaneously to address different requirements, for example live viewing and recording.

Description

The camera is equipped with a three axis mechanism and varifocal lens, allowing the direction, zoom and focus to be adjusted during installation, avoiding time-consuming re-positioning to achieve the best field of view. In addition, the DCS-6111 includes built-in support for 802.3af Power Over Ethernet (PoE). This allows the camera to be powered directly from a PoE Ethernet switch, providing users with the freedom to place the camera anywhere they want. The DCS-6111 supports 2-way audio support via external input/output connections*. Additional industry standard input/output connectors allow for connection to other devices such as a light or an alarm. With the free D-ViewCam software included, up to 32 cameras may be monitored on a single computer screen at one central location. The DCS-6111 also features 3G mobile video support, enabling you to view a live video feed from the camera on a compatible 3G mobile phone or PDA anywhere in your 3G coverage area.
