The DWA-643 Wireless N ExpressCard Notebook Adaptor is a draft 802.11n client device for notebooks with an ExpressCard slot available. It is faster than 802.11g wireless adaptors with the added benefit of ExpressCard technology. ExpressCard technology offers several advantages over the legacy CardBus interface, such as a smaller form factor, better speed between the adaptor’s board and the host computer and in addition has lower power requirements, translating in longer battery time for notebook systems. The adaptor comes in the smaller size of the two available in the ExpressCard specification, making it suitable for either type of slots. A quick set-up wizard guides users step-by-step in their own language through the installation process, allowing them to configure this adaptor without having to call a networking expert for help.
