The UNI2510U2V 2.5 HDD Enclosure offers versatile data storage, letting you turn a 2.5 SATA or IDE hard drive into an external hard drive connected through USB 2.0 - a cost-effective solution for a variety of uses including data backups, digital image storage, multimedia storage, or simply putting an outdated legacy hard drive (IDE) to good use. The external hard drive enclosure features a tool-less design that eliminates the time (and tools) that would typically be required to install or replace a hard drive in an external enclosure. The USB-based enclosure also offers the One Touch Backup feature, which lets you automate backups that can be triggered at the touch of a button, instead of having to manually drag and drop folders and files from the host computer to the external HDD. The UNIV2510U2V USB IDE/SATA hard drive enclosure includes a USB Y-cable that when (both USB connectors) are connected to the powered host computer eliminates the need for an external power Adaptor for the external drive.
